Although the seating is outdoors, this place just has to get a mention because of the unbeatable location in the Waterside campsite at the end of a lovely walk along the lake shore from the village. There is a single umbrella in case of a downpour!

An excellent dog stop, perfectly situated for a morning coffee en route north from London. Lovely fountain display with extensive covered seating area where dogs are allowed, plus plenty of outdoor tables too. Highly recommended!
Gorgeous little café in the heart of the conservation village of Tyninghame in East Lothian. Dogs welcome inside and out. Cosy and quirky. The quiches are really tasty if the soup has run out.
As well as the beach, there are super walks both in the paddock behind the village hall and in the woods around #Tyninghame house, as long as you avoid the private areas.
Newly opened, this place is in a stunning location right next to the beautiful refurbished Rose Garden. Outdoor #dogfriendly covered seating. Hoping we might persuade them to allow dogs inside too on wild days when they’re not busy!
Tucked away just off the Main Street in Corstorphine. Delightful newly opened gift café run with takeaway service throughout lockdown by a really friendly couple, Murray and Helen. They also deliver afternoon teas! Yummy scones.
Although this place isn’t a wet weather option, this coffee van is definitely worth a mention both for its fabulous geninuely direct-from-source Vietnamese coffee and for its superb location on the Meadows, Edinburgh. A favourite.
.Great dog friendly café on the Main Street. Open for takeaway coffees and cakes during Lockdown.
A great place to stop for a coffee on a walk along the Water of Leith from Stockbridge. Really friendly owner. Open for takeaways during lockdown. Dog friendly inside and out!
Update 5/12/20: Had a lovely birthday lunch here. What a varied menu! Great artistry in the coffee decoration and lovely Christmas snowflakes adorning the rear window, which we opened a little to get good ventilation. #dogswelcome
Peaceful place opposite Holyrood Park. Great half way stop if you are doing the dog walk circuit around Salisbury Crags.
A great place for lunch or coffees right next to the Water of Leith walkway. Colourful interior. Dog-friendly at the two tables nearest the door. Friendly staff. Lots of free books to borrow. Attractive local art on the walls. Lunch menu looks enticing. We’re planning to book to go back this week!
