Characterful dog-friendly coffee shop on the Haddington main street. Great coffees and good soups. The Salmon Royale is also highly recommended. If you want lunch, get there before kitchen closes at 3pm. Busy during October as it is in the only place open, so be prepared to queue for bit – not taking bookings at present.
Amalfi Ice Cream and Coffee, Dirleton
Handy new café at the West end of the village not far from the road end for the turning to Yellowcraigs beach. Name says it all! A great stop for a coffee after an afternoon walk and they also do toasties etc for lunch. Dogs welcome.
The Stables, Falkland
Absolutely delightful new café on the walk up to the Falkland House Estate. Garden is gorgeous and dogs are also allowed inside, though indoor seating is minimal. Definitely recommended on a sunny day!
The Hayloft, Falkland
Super little tearoom which also does lunches. If you want to stop here, you will need to book ahead to get the one dog-friendly table. The owner is extremely thorough about all the social distancing measures and this is attracting a lot of business!
Seven, Tollcross
Handy little café right next to the main Tollcross junction. Delighted to find that it is now dog friendly since the recent name change.
The Nineteenth Hole, Earlsferry.
Cosy little pub at the quieter end of the Elie-Earlsferry villages. Dogs welcome. Closed for the next two weeks due to Covid.
