REALLY friendly. The landlord has the gift of making every guest feel they are the number 1 most important person. Dogs abound! Evening food. Salmon with lemon couscous and venison casserole both highly recommended!

Lovely little cafe, full of character, in the heart of the village. Sunny patio with stunning uninterrupted views out over the North Sea. Great soups and paninis and the best wasp traps ever! A favourite haunt.
Crusoe Hotel, Lower Largo
Dog friendly in the bar pictured. Sheltered sun trap outside overlooking the harbour (if you ignore the parked cars!) -perfect spot for a lunch stop on a sunny day. Varied menu. Aubergine bake recommended!
Ziggy’s, St Andrew’s
Great dog-friendly evening option in the heart of St Andrews. Really good menu and amazingly quick service. Get the fajitas and the Caesar salad between you and share them both! A great combination!

Lovely little day-time cafe on church square in the heart of the old town. Outside seating out the back too.
Pillars of Hercules, Falkland
Thriving and popular organic and whole food shop and café. Lots of walking and cycling options on the doorstep. No dogs inside, but the orchard is a beautiful spot to sit with your pooch on a sunny afternoon.
Cafe @ Number 16, Aberdour
Delightful coffee shop with good lunch menu. Very dog and child friendly – lots of children’s toys available. Easy walking distance from Black Sands and the play park. Closed Monday Tuesday.
Update November 2020: The Café have done a great job of refurbishing during lockdown. Quirky idea to mount spare chairs at ceiling level and plants used imaginatively as dividers. As dog-friendly as ever!

The Pavilion, Elie
Dogs not allowed inside here, but there is a sheltered, covered verandah outside, which is a sunny spot for lunch – a favourite for us. Great soups, plentiful paninis, and sweet potato fries. Chicken, avocado and mango salad also a great dish! Five minutes walk to the award winning beach.
